Superior horn

Description

The long, narrow superior horns project upward from the posterior margins of the paired laminae of the thyroid cartilage. These projections of cartilage are anchored to the hyoid bone via the lateral thyrohyoid ligaments, which are the posterior margin of the thyrohyoid membrane.
