Lateral glossoepiglottic fold

Description

The lateral gloddoepiglottic fold is formed from the forward curve of the anterior epiglottis which is covered on upper part by mucous membranes which is then reflected on the sides and root of the tongue. The lateral folds are partly attached to the wall of the pharynx.
