Superior margin
Description
The superior margin is the shortest of the three borders of the triangular scapula. It angles inferiorly and laterally from the superior angle to the base of the coracoid process. Near the scapular incisure, the inferior belly of the omohyoid attaches to the superior margin.
Etymology
The term margin refers to the edge of a bone. A synonymous term for margin is border.
