Description
This is the small notch cut into the superior border of the scapula just medial to the base of the coracoid process.
Etymology
Incisure is the noun form of the Latin verb incise meaning to cut in, from the Latin prefix in- and verb cadere meaning to cut. The term notch is another word for incisure.
