Inferior angle

Description

This is the junction of the lateral and medial borders of the scapula. The posterior aspect of the inferior angle provides attachment for the teres major muscle and sometimes a small slip of the latissimus dorsi.

Etymology

The term angle refers to the junction of two borders or margins.
