Description
This is the thick lateral expansion of the superior ramus of the pubis that marks the junction of the pubis with the ilium. The internal surface is triangular. The external surface contributes to approximately one-fifth of the acetabulum.
Etymology
The term eminence refers to a projection or prominent point. Iliopubic describes the location of the eminence.
