Description
This dorsoventrally flattened branch of bone projects inferolaterally from the body to join the ischial ramus. Together this puboischial ramus forms the inferior circumference of the obturator foramen. The external surface of the ramus serves as a muscle attachment site for the adductor brevis, gracilis, and obturator externus muscles. The internal surface provides attachment for the obturator internus and medially to the crus penis.
