Description
This is a flat triangular ligament whose apex attaches to the ischial spine and its base attaches to the lateral surface of the sacrum and coccyx. This ligament is actually the tendinous posterior part of the ischiococcygeus muscle.
Function
Resists upward tilting of the sacrum.
