Median arcuate ligament

The median arcuate ligament is the weakly defined tendinous arch that results as the left and right crus of the diaphragm converge near the midline at the level of the intervertebral disc between the last thoracic and first lumbar vertebrae. The aorta passes through the diaphragm posterior to this ligament.
