Other Terms: Hunter's canal, Canalis adductorius, Canal des adducteurs
In the middle third of the thigh, the femoral vessels sit deep to the sartorius and a strong fascial covering that crosses from the adductor longus and magnus to the vastus medialis muscle. The fascia traps the vessels into a triangular tunnel between the adductor muscles and vastus medialis. This fibromuscular tunnel is called the adductor canal. It courses from the apex of the adductor triangle proximally to the adductor hiatus distally.
