Description

Dense regular collagenous connective tissue consists of densely packed collagen fibers that are arranged in parallel to one another. This arrangement creates a tissue that is very strong at resisting tensile forces in one direction. This tissue is common to the tendons of muscles and many of the ligaments of the body.
