Greater pancreatic duct


The pancreatic duct runs almost the whole length of the gland within its substance. Along its course, it receives numerous tributaries which join the main duct at right angles. These tributaries subdivide. The terminal divisions end in a number of acini which form the separate lobules. The duct empties into the second portion of the duodenum, generally in common with the bile duct
