Sphenoidal crest

Description

This is a triangular septum on the anterior aspect of the sphenoidal body. It joins the back of the perpendicular process of the ethmoid contributing to the nasal septum.

Etymology

Crest is a term applied to a ridge of bone. The Latin term used for this is crista.
