Description
The sympathetic trunks are two bundles of nerve fibers that extend along the vertebral column from the base of the skull to the coccyx. They are connected to each spinal nerve by gray matter rami. They receive fibers from the spinal cord through the white matter. Sympathetic trunks contain a set of ganglia.
