Anterior tibial artery
Other Terms: Arteria tibialis anterior, Artère tibiale antérieure
The anterior tibial artery, after coming forward between the two bones through the interosseous membrane, lies in front of the interosseous membrane near the fibula. Its course down the leg is marked by a line drawn from a point midway between the head of the fibula and the tibial tuberosity to the middle of the front of the ankle. The pulsations of the artery are readily distinguished as it crosses the front of the distal end of the tibia and the ankle.
