Description

The tonsillar ring (Waldeyer's tonsillar ring, or pharyngeal lymphoid ring) is the ring of lymphoid tissue located at the back of the oral cavity in the pharynx. From superior to inferior, the contents of the ring are: pharyngeal tonsil, tubal tonsil, palatine tonsils, and lingual tonsils.
